Dike area to contain spill and clean up by absorbing on an inert absorbent or other convenient means. Do not flush into sewers or natural waterways. Non-essential personnel should not enter area due to slipping hazards. Where flammable mixtures may be present, equipment safe for such locations should be used. Use clean tools and explosion-proof equipment. When transferring large volumes of product, metal containers, including trucks and tank cars, should be grounded and bonded.

These products have a low vapor pressure and are not expected to present an inhalation hazard under normal temperatures and pressures. However, when aerosolizing, misting, or heating these products, do not breathe vapor or mist. Use in a well ventilated area. Avoid contact with eyes, skin, clothing and shoes. Keep away from heat, sparks and flame.

A film or sheen will cause discoloration of the water surface or adjoining shoreline. Use approved treatment, transporters and disposal sites. Conditions of use and suitability of the product for particular uses are beyond our control; all risks of use of the product are therefore assumed by the user.

Nothing is intended as a recommendation for uses which infringe valid patents or as extending license under valid patents. Appropriate warnings and safe handling procedures should be provided to handlers and users. The flakes can easily be dissolved in a reactive monomer, such as styrene, resulting in an unsaturated polyester resin.

These resins may also be used to formulate glass flake coatings and mortars. The most suitable mixing procedure will depend on the type of mixer that is available. When using a Cowless type mixer, first put all styrene into the container.

When a propeller-type mixer is used, add one half of the styrene into the mixing container and start agitation. In order to adjust reactivity of the resin mixture both dimethyl aniline and cobalt have to be used. Shelf life is reduced at higher temperatures and the properties of the resin might change during storage. The favorable combination of thermal resistance and elongation makes this resin suitable for applications exposed to intermittent temperatures. However, the surface may not be cured completely.

To ensure tackfree curing of surfaces exposed to air, suitable additives e. The final state of cure may further be optimized by postcuring at elevated temperatures e.

Trigonox , Luperox Cu 50 VE. The shelf life of styrene containing unsaturated polyesters will be significantly reduced when exposed to light. The resin offers high retention of strength at elevated temperatures. Atlac can be used in all fabrication methods, but is especially adapted to meet the requirements of filament winding, centrifugal casting, hand lay-up and spray-up applications.

Atlac may also be used to formulate glass flake coatings and mortars. Stir the product before blending. Previous Project Next Project. May cause eye and skin irritation. SKIN: Moderate irritation and discomfort possible. Defatting of skin, redness and chemical dermatitis possible.

Toxic systemic effects from absorption are possible. If irritation persists, seek medical attention. SKIN: Wash exposed area with mild soap and water. Get medical attention if irritation develops or persists.

Immediately call local poison control center or go to an emergency department. Never give anything by mouth to or induce vomiting in an unconscious or drowsy person. If unconscious, give oxygen.

Give artificial respiration if not breathing. Get immediate medical attention. Keep ignition sources, open flames, etc.

Water in a straight hose stream may cause fire to spread and should be used as a cooling medium only. Full protective equipment Bunker Gear and self contained breathing apparatus SCBA should be used for all indoor fires and any significant outdoor fires. For small outdoor fires, which may easily be extinguished with a portable fire extinguisher, use of a SCBA may not be required.

If user's operations generate fume or mist, use ventilation to keep exposure to airborne contaminants below the exposure limit. Make-up air should always be supplied to balance air removed by exhaust ventilation. Ensure that eyewash station and safety shower are close to work-station. SKIN: To prevent any contact, wear impervious protective clothing such as neoprene or butyl rubber gloves, apron, boots or whole bodysuit, as appropriate.

Avoid contact with Aluminum or Titanium. Do not reuse empty containers. Cure schedule: 24 hrs. Glass mat used O. M, Vetrotex M
