I did the first 30 days of P90x and although I liked it, there wasn't nearly enough cardio in it for me. I am currently half way through Insanity And, no, I am not a beach body coach or promoter! I just really like the program and am finding that it works! A lot of people do hybrids like the previous poster mentioned.
I know P90x and Insanity are good hybrids to do because of the cardio benefits combined with the strength workouts. Good luck. I would recommend it to everyone.
Check out my youtube vlog where I am posting my results each week. I agree that you will most likely have to experiment. If you work out less, that can sometimes mean you have to eat less, but that depends on what your workouts are like and the intensity of the workout. I will say that if you did P90X and find ChaLean to be less intense than p90X for your fitness level, you probably will need to eat less if you are going to continue with ChaLean.
The less you train, the more perfect your eating must become. How much are you eating? You could try it for a week or two and if you start gaining scale it back or add more cardio. No, I am not lifting weights. I am just doing the band work required for ChaLean Extreme.
I don't want to insanely bulk or anything, I just want to tone a bit while still ensuring that I will not gain weight due to the decrease in cardio. Are you lifting weights?
I assume you are because you said you wanted to bulk up. I'd recommend that you look at the training programs by Jason Feruggia and Tom Venuto. If your goal is to compete as a body builder or physique athlete, check out Lyle McDonald. Tom Venuto and Jason Feruggia have intensely researched their programs scientifically over the course of years and have produced quality workouts that keep you lean and gaining muscle at the same time - they do not adhere to the bulk-and-cut methodology that the typical meathead in the gym ascribes to.
Hello all! I had a quick question. About a year and a half ago I went through P90X. It was a great experience and I am in great shape.
Since then I have been focusing on cardio. So, for the last year or so I have cycled through those workouts about 5 times a week 4 is I got lazy, haha. I just started ChaLean Extreme today becasue I want to bulk up just a bit more, but not too much. My question is: Is there enough cardio in CE for me to continue my eating habits, etc. I definitely don't want to gain weight in my stomach area, but I am concerned because CE does not have as much cardio as I have been doing.
I would greatly appreciate ya'll's opinions. Thank you! Page: 1 of 1. Other Fitness and Exercise Topics:. Long Term Goal- Chin-ups How to progress toward. Looking for a great core workout. Hiking is the best weight loss exercise EVER. Ever used waist to height ratio for heart assess?
